Forgiveness, The Journey Continues
Yesterday is gone.
Tomorrow has not yet come.
We have only today.
Let us begin. ... Mother Teresa
Sometimes the hardest person to forgive is ourselves;
We dwell on what we have done,
We dwell on what we have failed to do.
This keeps us focued on ourselves,
Rather than focusing on God.
Prayer:
Thank you Lord for making me just the way I am,
For You are the creator and I am the created.
Thank you for the parts of myself that I struggle with,
For it is in this struggle that I come closer to you.
May I give to others what you have given me,
with generosity and gratefulness. Amen

This is the perfect prayer for me today, since, for some reason, all I feel today are my own faults and all I can see is how I come up short! Thank you.
"Thank you for making me just the way I am" what a beautiful and humble prayer!
How true this is! It reminds me of the beauty of Confession as well - if God forgives us, we should forgive ourselves as well.
Very inspiring. Thank you.
Thanx also for visiting my Blog and helping a charity. Please encourage others to do the same.
God bless.
I concur absolutely. We must be able to forgive ourselves. I don't believe that we can truly forgive others if we cannot forgive ourselves. God does not expect us to be perfect; we should not, either. He forgives us, and that is a great example for us, isn't it? As Michael says, if God can forgive us, we should be able to forgive ourselves. But, yeah, sometimes it is hard.
Beautiful words for reflection.
Thank you.
Mary, thank you for visiting my blog and posting a comment. I think we all struggle with our faults. My mom always tells me that I am too hard on myself.
God Bless You
