On Holy Thursday (2001) Cardinal Bergoglio washed and kissed the feet of 12 AIDS patients ("with humility, respect, and great love") at the chapel (Our Lady of Lujan) of a drug rehab center in Buenos Aires. His message was clear, that "thos...e who traffic in human misery, along with those who aid and abet them, will be condemned," which (as his fellow-Jesuit, Fr Garcia, comments): "seems to imply His Excellency has a rather sober view of Hell, always good to know."
