I Have Seen the Lord

My soul longs for you, O Lord

So early I rise to find you,
You are the one that my heart loves.

Like a bridegroom, you have courted me,
Your faithful love has won me over.

You have rolled back the stone of my heart,
And delivered me from my life of sin,
For no one is outside of your mercy.

Though many obstacles cross my path,
I search for you.
It is you alone that I seek,
For you have called me by name that I might tell the world,
“I have seen the Lord”.

"Dear children, today I want to call all of you to start living a new life from this day on. Dear children, I want you to understand that God has chosen each of you to participate in his great plan for the salvation of mankind. You cannot comprehend how great your role is in God's design." St. Mary Magdalene, pray for us.

In today's Magnificat readings the reflectiion/daily mediation is really quite beautiful. It centers on us each being the bride of Christ and your thoughts echo that beautifully. I love the message from Our Lady, it is important to know that we are each special and have a role in God's plan. I think accepting that is humility, turning away from that is arrogance, because then we are rejecting God. Nice reflection.

Jek,

I looked all over for my Magnificat this morning and couldn't find it. I hope I didn't leave it in the pew after morning mass yesterday! The Magnificat always has such beautiful reflections, I'm glad mine was on a similar line.

I, too, thought of humility when I read the Gospel this morning...I guess our family ties run deep ;)

God bless

DG,
I love this message from Our Lady! Each and every one of us is integral to God's plan for the world. Amazing, isn't it? I wish that everyone in the world understood this.

Hi Daily Grace,

I sent you a comment on one of your older posts but I was wondering what you've heard about the Church's stance on Medjugorje? I came across an article that the apparitions are not approved and we've been warned to stay away. It also mentioned two priests involved with the children (now grown up of course) were arrested. Have you heard any of this?

I went to Medjugorje about 13 years ago and loved it. Plus I think so many people were their praying that it must be a holy place. What are your thoughts on this?

Thanx Daily Grace for these reflections.

It would be a good post if you sometime share your views on Medjugorje. The church is not too clear about this and have not yet OK'd it as they do Lourdes, Fatima and other places. Our priests locally lead pilgrimages to Medjugorje.

God bless.

Good thought Victor. My family has been involved with putting on the Medjuorje Peace Conference in Irvine California since the early 1980's. I will put some of my thoughts and experiences together and share them.

God bless

Grace, you are a breath of fresh air, the Word streams off your wings as you fly, leaving the lasting imprints of what God has promised, and what we [should] embrace every day of our lives.

So happy to have you as a blogger friend!

Love,

Abbey ♥

Every time I see that quote it stops me dead in my tracks.

To think that we have such a big role in Gods plan ...

God Bless you!
