Seek God's Way of Thinking

December 02, 2013 Message through Mirjana:

"Dear children, with a motherly love and a motherly patience I am looking at your ceaseless wandering and how lost you are. That is why I am with you. I desire to help you to first find and come to know yourself, so that, then, you would be able to recognize and to admit everything that does not permit you to get to know the love of the Heavenly Father, honestly and wholeheartedly. My children, the Father comes to be known through the cross. Therefore, do not reject the cross. Strive to comprehend and accept it with my help. When you will be able to accept the cross you will also understand the love of the Heavenly Father; you will walk with my Son and with me; you will differ from those who have not come to know the love of the Heavenly Father, those who listen to Him but do not understand Him, those who do not walk with Him - who have not come to know Him. I desire for you to come to know the truth of my Son and to be my apostles; that, as children of God, you may rise above the human way of thinking and always, and in everything, seek God's way of thinking, anew. My children, pray and fast that you may be able to recognize all of this which I am seeking of you. Pray for your shepherds and long to come to know the love of your Heavenly Father, in union with them. Thank you." 

Our Lady Queen of Peace, pray for us during this season of Advent, that we may seek God's way of thinking, anew.

"More than ever, humanity needs prayer”

Organizers estimate that visionary Vicka Ivankovic-Mijatovic met a quarter of the Christian population during her one-week stay in Israel and Palestine. Devotion to prayer was revived and will continue, priest says. Mary assured attendees that she and Jesus never left The Holy Land.

Medjugorje visionary Vicka Ivankovic-Mijatovic was seen and heard by 25 percent of the Christian population during her August 19-26 stay in The Holy Land, organizers of the first international Maranatha pilgrimage are estimating.

“I am completely satisfied with the response. Having Vicka with us here fulfills my dream. Today, Medjugorje is present in every Christian family and community in The Holy Land. People are asking questions about how to connect to the Maranatha Movement for the healing of humanity. I do not have words to describe my feelings” Maranatha world coordinator Sabrina Covic-Radojicic tells the Croatian daily Vecernji List.

Vicka returned to Medjugorje on Monday, also very much pleased with the events of the week.

“I am overjoyed. I have been in the Holy Land before, but I never could bring Our Lady’s message. I do not know why I could not, only God knows. Obviously it was time for people to hear. But, behold, the time has come. People have heard and will hear the message. But this should not stop here, prayer for the healing of people should continue. More than ever, humanity needs prayer” Vicka tells the Croatian paper.

And devotion to prayer will continue, says Fr. Nadeem Shakouri, the pastor of Maelia where Vicka’s apparition was attended by about 13,000 people on August 21.

“I am delighted. Only the Lord could muster this crowd. I thank Him for the gift of Vicka’s arrival. It gives us hope that peace is possible in these regions. He asks us to continue to pray not only during Vicka’s stay in the Holy Land, but also after her departure. Pray for all the sick hearts awaiting recovery, and for all who witnessed these precious days and who will themselves become carriers of the messages” Fr. Shakouri tells Vecernji List.

The priest was further uplifted by the message the Virgin Mary passed on from the apparition in Maelia.

“Our Lady’s message today encourages us because she told the faithful of the Holy Land that she has been with us all the time with her Son, and that they never left. We believers from Galilee will never forget these days. In her honor we bless the statue which we brought from Medjugorje one month ago, that we will be constantly reminded of this day” says Fr. Shakouri.

On August 24, Fouad Boutros Ibrahim Twal, the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, ”expressed his fraternal hospitality” and thanked for the devotion to recollection and prayer, and for the joy offered to all who met Vicka whom he welcomed to The Holy Land, Vecernji List further reports.

Both he and Elias Shakouri, the Bishop of the Melkite Catholic Church, were invited by Maranatha organizers to participate in the international Youth Festival in Medjugorje next year, Maranatha world coordinator Sabrina Covic-Radojicic informs.

In God's Company 2

The Joy of The Lord...

It was about 4:00 in the afternoon when I entered the nearby church. I had just wanted to pop in for a quick visit and say hello to the Lord, to thank him for my day and hopefully find a little refreshment for my soul while I was there.

 Once inside, I noticed a group of young children gathered together. They were in the pews up front situated close to the statue of Our Blessed Mother; they looked to be about eight years old and appeared to be very well behaved. 

A woman, who I thought might be their C.C.D. teacher, was leading them in song, an old time classic and one of my favorites, “The joy of the Lord is my strength”. When they got to the verse, “if you want joy you must SHOUT for it”, they bellowed as loudly as they could. And when they sang, “if you want joy you must JUMP for it”, they bounced up and down like little rabbits.

It looked like they had received the joy they were singing for, I know I sure did!

Joy, it is a small word with a big impact. Once you receive joy you can’t hold on to it; it cannot be contained. Joy must be shared. It is contagious and it leads us to a spirit of gratitude and praise. Joy frees us to receive grace.

When I think back to visit at the church that day, I can’t help but think of  how appropriate it was that the children were gathered close by the statue of Our Blessed Mother, for she is the cause of our joy because she has brought us the greatest joy, her son Jesus.

On July 25, 2013, Our Lady of Medjugorje, gave this message to Marija. This message was meant to be shared with the whole world.

“Dear children! With joy in my heart I call you to live your faith and to witness it with your heart and by your example in every way. Decide, little children, to be far from sin and temptation and may there be joy and love for holiness in your hearts. I love you, little children, and accompany you with my intercession before the Most High. Thank you for responding to my call.”

Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us, that we may experience the joy of you have brought us in your son Jesus.

The Gathering

Acts 1:13-26

 

And so we gathered,

All of us together,

Men and women both.

We had much to think about,

Much to take into consideration.

Some of us had been with Him from the start,

Others of us not as long.

But He had changed our lives forever.

We wanted to continue in His steps,

Yet we feared.

 

We needed wisdom,

We needed understanding,

We needed prudence,

We needed courage.

So we prayed and we waited.

In perfect trust we clung to His words.

We spoke about where we had been,

The hardships and the strife.

We prepared ourselves for the future,

Whatever it would bring.

We knew that in order to make this journey

We would need to make peace with each other;

We would need to make peace with ourselves.

We continued to pray,

We knew He was listening.

 “…The Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.’ John 14:26


"Dear children! This evening I would like to tell you to pray in the days of this Novena for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on your families and on your parish. Pray. You shall not regret it. God shall give you the gifts with which you will praise Him to the last breath of your life on earth. Thank you for having responded to my call."
Our Lady, Queen of Peace,  gave this message on June 2, 1984 in Medjugorje.

 

"Yes" For All Of You

 

The Annunciation heralds the beginning of our salvation. By Mary's obedient "Fiat", the earth has become heaven. "In Jesus, God has placed, in the midst of barren, despairing mankind, a new beginning which is not a product of human history but a gift from above" Pope Benedict XVI

Quietly sitting in her room, she waits.

Born to parents in their later years of life,
And dedicated to God from the earliest part of her youth,
She waits.

Prayer and fasting are her constant companions,
For the eyes of her soul are turned inward as she watches for things to come.

The ears of her spirit listen as she reads the Holy Scriptures,
Always contemplating on the One,
The One who would bring salvation to her people.

She is no more than a girl by some standards,
Around fifteen years of age.
And while quietly sitting in her room,
She begins to sing softly.
Her heart lifted in prayer.

It is nearing dusk, and the dim light that has entered her room begins to brighten.
Increasing slowly at first, the light becomes radiant.
She is filled with awe as the angel of the Lord stands before her.

“Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus” Luke 1:31

Bowing low, arms crossed on her breast, she responds…..

…….“May it be done to me according to your word” Luke 1:38

Yes….forever yes….

She and the light are now one,

Its radiance consumes her.
A lifetime of waiting is fulfilled.

God has brought salvation to his people.

March 25, 2011 Message to Marija

"Dear children! In a special way today I desire to call you to conversion. As of today, may new life begin in your heart. Children, I desire to see your ‘yes’, and may your life be a joyful living of God’s will at every moment of your life. In a special way today, I bless you with my motherly blessing of peace, love and unity in my heart and in the heart of my Son Jesus. Thank you for having responded to my call."

In 1933, God gave Sister Faustina a striking vision of His Mercy,
Sister tells us:
"I saw a great light, with God the Father in the midst of it.
Between this light and the earth I saw Jesus nailed to the Cross
and in such a way that God, wanting to look upon the earth, had to
look through Our Lord's wounds and I understood that God blessed
the earth for the sake of Jesus."

Of another vision on Sept. 13, 1935, she writes:
"I saw an Angel, the executor of God's wrath... about to strike
the earth...I began to beg God earnestly for the world with words
which I heard interiorly. As I prayed in this way, I saw the
Angel's helplessness, and he could not carry out the just
punishment...."
The following day an inner voice taught her to say this prayer on
ordinary rosary beads:
"First say one 'Our Father', 'Hail Mary', and 'I believe'. Then on
the large beads say the following words:
'Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity
of Your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement
for our sins and those of the whole world.'
On the smaller beads you are to say the following words:
'For the sake of His sorrowful Passion have mercy on us and on the
whole world.'
In conclusion you are to say these words three times:
'Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us
and on the whole world'.

Renew Fasting and Prayer

“Dear children! Today I call you to pray for my intentions. Renew fasting and prayer because Satan is cunning and attracts many hearts to sin and perdition. I call you, little children, to holiness and to live in grace. Adore my Son so that He may fill you with His peace and love for which you yearn. Thank you for having responded to my call.”  BVM, Medjugorje, 10/25/2012

And when he was coming into the house, his disciples secretly asked him: Why couldn't we cast him out?... And he said to them: This kind can come out only  by prayer and fasting. (Mark 9:27, 29)

Fasting has become a forgotten religious Biblical and Christian theme. And its concepts are largely lost in the Church. Yet, Our Lady calls us time and time again to the spiritual disciple of fasting.

"The best fast is on bread and water. Through fasting and prayer one can stop wars, one can suspend the natural laws of nature. Works of charity cannot replace fasting... Everyone except the sick, has to fast." BVM, Medjugorje. 7/21/1982

Today, we know that many illnesses are caused by excessive eating and drinking. Obesity is on the rise in adults and children and many of us have developed a disorderly relationship with food in general. As a result of this, many people are returning to a more natural and healthy way of eating.

Throughout the Old and New Testament we see that fasting has always been connected with prayer as a means to peace. Prophets fasted before accepting their service as prophets and before special revelations. Jesus fasted prior to His public life and said that those that are His own will also fast.

When Jesus spoke to His disciples about how to fast, He clearly was expecting that they would fast (Matthew 6:16-18 ). He did not say "if you fast" but "when you fast."

As the Catechism of the Catholic Church puts it, fasting and abstinence

“help us to acquire mastery over our instinct and freedom of heart. (CCC 2043) 1

Our Lady asks everyone to pray all three Mysteries of the Rosary and to fast two days a week, on Wednesdays and Fridays.


To many people this call seems excessive, unrealistic and impossible. Yet, the history of fasting shows the Jewish people already fasted two days, on Mondays and Thursdays.



Jesus did not discard the value of fasting nor did He forbid fasting twice a week. He only forbade judging others.

In calling us to fast two days a week, Mary remains in the tradition of Her Israelite nation and reminds us of the multi- century tradition of the Eastern and Western Church.
