Oh My King

As the visions during the night continued,

I saw one like a Son of man coming,on the clouds of heaven;when he reached the Ancient One
and was presented before him,
the one like a Son of man received dominion, glory, and kingship;
all peoples, nations, and languages serve him.
His dominion is an everlasting dominion that shall not be taken away,his kingship shall not be destroyed.

Daniel 7:13-14

Today we celebrate the Feast of Christ the King; the Alpha and the Omega, the one who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.

Oh my King, what gift could I possibly give you;

You, who have given me life itself?

Everything my eyes fall on has been given to me by your love;

Every breath I take is a gift of your grace.

What gift could I give you my King?

All I possess has been given to me from You.

So I give back to you my life, in all its unworthiness,

Please take it and use me as you will, if you will.

May I forever testify to the truth,

That Jesus Christ is King, now and forever.

Amen

Beautiful prayer :)

Christ should reign first and foremost in our soul. But how would we reply if he asked us: “How do you go about letting me reign in you?” I would reply that I need lots of his grace. Only that way can my every heartbeat and breath, my least intense look, my most ordinary word, my most basic feeling be transformed into a hosanna to Christ my king.

Beautiful prayer. I love "use me as you will, if you will". I am so grateful that He does choose to use me. Could you imagine what life would be like if He didn't choose us? Chilling thought!

Like Gabriella and Anne, I loved this prayer. And the best thing is that He uses everyone of us if we let Him :)

I hate to be repetitive, but this prayer was great. And so right! I pray that we all are the vessel that God wants us to be!
