Be it done to me according to your Word

Let justice descend, O heavens, like dew from above,
Like gentle rain let the skies drop it down.
Let the earth open and salvation bud forth;
Let justice also spring up!
I, the Lord have created this. Isaiah 45:8

Be it done according to your Word! (Lk 1:38)

For thirty three days I have been praying for the Total Consecration of my family to Jesus through Mary.

Today on this feast of the Annunciation, before the holy tabernacle of our Lord Jesus Christ, I consecrate them officially to  Jesus through you, oh mother Mary. You alone are their mother, their protector, their intercessor. Be the mother to them that I never was. Hold them close to your motherly heart and present them to your Son daily, that they may grow closer to him daily.

May their love for your Son and their love for others blossom like the flowers of spring, attracting all those you send their way. May their hearts be filled with peace, that they may become bearers of peace to all they meet each day. May their joy be so contagious that all they meet might catch it. And may their arms always be open, as your son Jesus arms are always open to comfort those in need.

In His name I pray.
Amen

Although not knowing all the details I know this is a beautiful gift you've given to your family. The Blessed Mother will work inside of them molding them, conforming them... what a beautiful prayer! k

Don't you just love Isaiah?

How did you consecrate your whole family? I'd love to learn more about that! This post is beautiful-lovely words!

Dear Anne,

I followed St. Louis de Montfort's Way:Total Consecration, I started on Feb.20 and did it as if it were my own, but it was for them, using their names, saying the prayers and doing the study. Yesterday was the Marian Feast day so I went with them inside my heart before the tabernacle and lifted them to the Lord. After mass, my favorite older priest was there and I went to him for the sacrament of reconcilation for myself. Thank you for asking and may God bless you and yours

Hi, my name is 'aspiring...' among other names :).

I found your comment at Anne's (a site I recently started frequenting) to be discerning and thoughtful. It didn't escape me either that your id image is similar to mine in that it's an expansive and bright and renewing sort of outdoors photo. It has never occurred to me to tell anyone this - my own image is a photo of the sun reflected as a cross on a lake. I took it myself on St. Catherine of Siena's feast day which will be eternally memorable and meaningful for me. Isn't it wonderful...

Anyway, I clicked on your name to see if you have a blog, too. And here I am!

In your current post you said, "...You alone are their mother, their protector, their intercessor. Be the mother to them that I never was. Hold them close..." I have prayed similarly and wanted to share that with you. How wonderful to have Mary's divine maternal love helping us care for our sons and daughters.

Anne, I'm grateful to you and your blog for my new discovery :) !

Joy to you and a blessed Holy Week and Easter, I pray.

aspiring,

Thank you for visiting my blog and for sharing your thoughts with me.

The picture on my profile is from Medjugorje. I took it up on the apparition hill and it over looks the small village.

God bless you and may you have a very blessed Easter.

It's a wonderful thing you've done--one of the best you could have given to your family! We did that as well and the blessings abound!
