"Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God; have faith also in me." John 14:1
Sometimes, the sight of our ever changing world can cause us to have feelings of doubt, or even despair. We tend to focus on the negative around us and soon our attitudes and our speech follows suit; much like a domino effect.
It is in times like these that we need to stop, look around and realize all the things we have to be grateful for. A spirit of gratitude brings peace to the soul and joy to the heart!
“Dear children! I am calling you to a complete surrender to God. Let everything that you possess be in the hands of God. Only in that way shall you have joy in your heart. Little children, rejoice in everything that you have. Give thanks to God because everything is God's gift to you. That way in your life you shall be able to give thanks for everything and discover God in everything even in the smallest flower. Thank you for having responded to my call. ” BVM Medjugorje 4-25-1989
Lord, may the spirit of gratitude bloom within my heart. Amen

That was beautiful. If only we could remember to pray for the situation instead of getting upset we would not only help ouselves but others around us. I think this is one of the things that Our Blessed Mother is calling us to do.
Gratitude is so important and one I am always striving for. With gratitude I am granted patience and humility! Great post!
This is a beautiful post full of truth.
Whatever happens, even though our first instinct is to fear and doubt, we need to take a deep breath, calm down and trust in God.
Bless you.
Wonderful post. Perspective is so crucial to how we go through this journey of ours.

God Bless you.
Amen!
My husband has just brought in our first 'crop' of roses ... one bud was as beautiful and perfect as the one that you've depicted above.
I'm just marveling over the beauty and return of another spring!!! Yes, it is easy to focus on the bad, the negative and that which troubles us ... but He has ALL in His Hands. There is SO much beauty, so much that is good and an attitude of gratitude will carry us through many a storm...
God bless you D.G.!
What a beautiful post this is. If only everyone understood the treasure we have in Mother Mary :) I love reading the messages that she has spoken in Medjugorje over the years, they are filled with wisdom.
