Infuse My Soul

'I will give to you a new heart of flesh..." Ezekiel (36:26)

The heart is also the central core of the conversion which God desires on the part of man and for man, so as to enter into his intimacy, into his love. God did not create man to be indifferent or cold, but to be open to God.... The heart of flesh, a heart that has a human sensitivity and a heart capable of letting itself be moved by the breath of the Holy Spirit.... All her life, St. Margaret Mary burned with the living flame of that love which Christ came to kindle in the history of man... John Paul II, Paray-Ie-Monial in October. 1986

Gazing upon  your heart O Lord,
My heart begins to race.

Symbol of a love divine,
I long for your embrace.

Burning love infuse my soul
With compassion deep and true,

And when my life on earth is done,
Bring me home to you.....

Consecration to the Sacred Heart
Sacred Heart of Jesus, filled with infinite love, broken by my ingratitude, pierced by my sins, yet loving me still, accept the consecration that I make to You, of all that I am and all that I have. Take every faculty of my soul and body, and draw me, day by day, nearer and nearer to Your Sacred Side, and there, as I can bear the lesson, teach me Your blessed ways. Amen.

As the Church devotes the month of June to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place you and your families in His Heart, that His love and mercy protect you and that you find rest in Him.

The consecration is beautiful, as is the poem and entire reflection. Thank you for the reminder that this month is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

God Bless,
JEK

Jek and Karinann,

I love this prayer of consecration too. Meditation of the Sacred Heart brings such peace, doesn't it? I have always loved the month of June, for this reason especially.

Thank you for visiting. God bless

DG,
I love both the poem and the Consecration prayer :)

Thank you for your prayers today. The tornado warning in my city was cancelled as the funnel cloud veered south. Massachusetts was not as lucky though and some people died and there were numerous injuries. We are not used to weather like that up here and people were unprepared. It's very sad.
